Thank you for your interest in this study. The purpose of the study is to better understand the patient experience of recurrent, persistent, and chronic urinary tract infection (UTI), in relation to symptom severity and psychosocial factors. Because this is a symptoms-based study, the questions asked in this survey are not suitable for those who are consistently symptom-free due to long-term treatment.
For the purpose of this study, the term 'recurrent UTI' also captures 'persistent' and 'chronic UTI'. Participation will involve completing a series of surveys, which could last up to a maximum of 6 months, depending on which group you decide to participate in.
To see if you might qualify for this study, we need to ask you some questions about your health history and present condition. Please be aware that answering yes to some of these questions does not necessarily exclude you from participation, but the information we collect is important for the study itself. Some of these questions may be sensitive, such as questions about hormonal therapy, birth control and your experience with urinary symptoms. If you do not qualify for this study, the information you provide will be stored until data collection for the study is finished and will then be deleted.
